Let me start off by being as blunt as possible, being a solo woman world traveler is scary. Staying in India by myself close to the airport was a bit intimidating to say the least. However, I can say the hotels made me feel so welcome and I loved every minute of it.
New Delhi,India
New Delhi is where I flew into from the US and the airport is a smidge confusing to say the least. However, when staying at a hotel close to the airport, you can easily request airport pickup and drop-off. I ended up choosing to stay at the Roseate Hotel, Aerocity. They are incredibly friendly and very helpful to say the least. You can arrange for a tour of Delhi, airport transport (as a single woman for no extra cost) and even breakfast included with amazing rooms that make you feel welcome and relaxed.
I give the Roseate a solid 5/5 stars for their incredible service and if wanting to stay at an easy to locate hotel, I recommend them to any traveler heading to India.
Leh-Ladakh, India
Flying here was an adventure, as it is nestled in the Himalayas, surrounding you with absolutely breathtaking views. In Leh, the group decided to stay the the Grand Dragon Ladakh. This hotel is fabulous with incredible views, amazing staff and of course fantastic food as well. Fresh watermelon juice, tea, and easy to access water in every room on top of a spa and just perfect lobby relaxation time. Given the altitude it is highly recommended to stay 2 nights here in Leh in order to acclimatize to the incredibly high altitude. It is recommended to drink at least 4 bottles of water when arriving to help acclimatize.
