South African Conservation Internship - Completed 2022
In order to grow my skills in the conservation field, I researched many organizations in which to take on an internship with which allows me to work with local communities and also get in some fieldwork too. After a long bout of research, I finally settled on GVI, a fantastic organization that will allow me to gain the skills I need and the ability to work with the community.

I settled on starting a GoFundMe in order to raise the remaining funds for the program I wish to attend.

The flights are booked, and the countdown is going strong. The last day before my Leave of Absence starts at work is September 10. I depart on September 15.

Paperwork is submitted and I am ready to travel. 35 days before I leave the country as of August 10, 2022. I will be gone until November 5, 2022.

The countdown is now at 11 days, and I am itching to get on the plane and leave. The last week of work is this week!

Nosy Be, Madagascar Conservation Internship 2025
After interning in South Africa, I am pursuing yet another GVI program with two of my best friends - Halle and Cheyenne. GVI has deeply impacted me and left a huge standing impression with its work. As it currently stands, I have started yet another GoFundMe in regard to pursuing and expanding my conservation knowledge as well as community and field work in my chosen field.

And keep track of internship fun on this blog and get the inside scoop on my internship from last year. For anyone curious about getting experience in the field they love, feel free to reach out to me - as I am currently a GVI Ambassador and am more than happy to share my experience with others.

I have also been working on the artwork of endemic wildlife in Madagascar and you can check out some of my drawings on my Red Bubble Account too:

Snow Leopard Tracking In The Himalayas - Global Protagonists

Global Protagonists is a new organization I found. In March this year, 2026, for 10 days, I will try to take part in a mission of a lifetime. Combining a unique one health approach to snow leopard tracking, rabies vaccines, and the unique community of Ladakh, India. Spending this time in the small village of Ulley to truly witness how conservation works hand-in-hand with communities and the unique landscape.
